NTA releases NITTT 2026 exam schedule; check shift timings and guidelines
NITTT 2026 exam schedule out

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam schedule for the National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) April-May 2026 semester examination. The online remote proctored exam will be held on July 31, August 1, August 7 and August 8, 2026. According to the official schedule, the examination will be conducted in two shifts each day. The morning shift will be held from 10 am to 12 noon, while the afternoon shift will take place from 2 pm to 4 pm. As per the official notification, the NITTT programme is designed to provide in-service training to newly inducted teachers in All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)-approved institutions and strengthen their teaching skills.

The training includes continuous assessment through assignments and a final internet-based remote proctored examination. Teachers are required to complete all stages of the programme within three years to become eligible for probation confirmation and future promotions.

NITTT 2026 admit card

Candidates appearing for the NITTT April-May 2026 semester examination can download their admit cards from the official website, nittt.nta.ac.in. To access the hall ticket, candidates will need to log in using their registration number and date of birth.

NITTT 2026 exam pattern

The NITTT 2026 examination will:

  • Be conducted in English only.
  • Include 100 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Be held in an online remote proctored mode.

NITTT 2026 exam day guidelines

Candidates should keep the following instructions in mind before appearing for the examination:

  • Keep the NITTT 2026 admit card and a valid photo identity proof ready during the examination.
  • Candidates without these documents will not be allowed to take the test.
  • A transparent water bottle is permitted during the examination.
  • The exam will be monitored live by human proctors throughout the test.
  • Proctors may ask candidates through the chat window to rotate their laptop or webcam to show their surroundings if any suspicious activity is noticed.
  • Candidates should regularly check the chat window and follow all instructions given by the proctor.
  • Warning messages may appear on the screen if suspicious behaviour is detected. Failure to follow the instructions even after repeated warnings may lead to the examination being terminated.
  • Candidates are not allowed to keep any sheets of paper, notebooks or other materials for rough work during the examination.

Candidates are advised to carefully read all the instructions mentioned on the admit card and follow the remote proctoring guidelines to avoid any issues during the examination.
