KSP Civil Police Constable provisional answer key likely this week; objection window to follow

PC answer key 2026: The Karnataka State Police (KSP) is expected to release the provisional answer key for the Civil Police Constable (RPC and NHK) recruitment examination shortly. The written examination was conducted on August 2, 2026, for thousands of candidates competing for 3,991 vacancies across Karnataka.Once released, the provisional answer key will be available through the official KSP recruitment portal. Candidates will be able to compare their responses, estimate their scores and, if required, submit objections within the prescribed window before the final answer key is published.Provisional answer key likely within a weekBased on the standard recruitment schedule followed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) and KSP, the provisional answer key is expected between August 5 and August 10, 2026. The answer key will be published through the active recruitment notifications on the official KSP portal and the KEA website.An objection facility is expected to remain open tentatively from August 10 to August 14, 2026. Candidates who identify discrepancies in the provisional answer key will be permitted to submit challenges by paying the prescribed fee for each question. The objections will be reviewed by an expert committee before the final answer key is issued.The final answer key is expected later in August, while the written examination results are likely to be announced in September after completion of the evaluation process.Recruitment drive covers 3,991 vacanciesThe ongoing recruitment aims to fill 3,991 Civil Police Constable posts across two cadres. Of these, 3,395 vacancies have been notified for the Non-Kalyana Karnataka cadre, while 596 posts are reserved for the Kalyana Karnataka cadre.According to data released by KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna, 4,54,532 candidates registered for the recruitment. The Non-Kalyana Karnataka cadre received 3,77,861 applications for 3,395 vacancies, while 76,684 candidates applied for 596 posts under the Kalyana Karnataka cadre.The OMR-based written examination was conducted simultaneously at 884 examination centres under CCTV surveillance. Only candidates who secured at least 50 marks out of 150 in the Mandatory Kannada Language Test held on July 19, 2026, were eligible to appear for the written examination.Exam pattern and selection processThe written examination lasted 90 minutes and consisted of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each. A penalty of 0.25 marks is applicable for every incorrect response.Candidates shortlisted after the written examination will proceed to the remaining stages of the recruitment process, including physical tests and document verification. Selected candidates will be appointed under the Level 3 pay scale of the 7th CPC with a salary ranging from Rs 27,650 to Rs 52,650 per month.
