RBI Young Professionals recruitment 2026: Applications for posts offering Rs 1.5 lakh monthly stipend end tomorrow
RBI Young Professionals Recruitment 2026

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will close the application process for Young Professionals (YPs) recruitment 2026 tomorrow, July 6, 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the contractual posts by submitting their applications through email before the deadline.The recruitment is being conducted for several specialised roles at the RBI’s Central Office in Mumbai. The available positions are in areas such as artificial intelligence, quantum technology, climate risk, sustainable finance, payment systems, financial markets, data analytics, supervision, and policy research.

RBI Young Professionals recruitment 2026: Salary and tenure

Candidates selected for the Young Professionals posts will receive a fixed monthly stipend of Rs 1.5 lakh.The appointment will be on a full-time contractual basis. The initial contract will be for three years and may be extended depending on the candidate’s performance and mutual agreement. However, the total contract period will not be more than five years.RBI has also clarified that Young Professionals will not be considered regular employees of the central bank. They will not be eligible for additional allowances or other employee benefits.

The educational qualification depends on the post. Candidates with postgraduate degrees, engineering degrees, professional qualifications, or research experience in the relevant field can apply for the available positions.The recruitment includes the following roles:

  • Young Professional – Policy Analytics
  • Young Professional – Climate Change Risk and Sustainable Finance
  • Young Professional – Credit Risk Analytics and Regulatory Policy
  • Young Professional – Payment Ecosystem
  • Young Professional – Policy and Research in Domestic and Cross-Border Payment Systems
  • Young Professional – Policy and Research
  • Young Professional – Artificial Intelligence
  • Young Professional – Quantum Technology
  • Young Professional – Data Analysis
  • Young Professional – Financial Markets
  • Young Professional – Data Analytics and Policy Research

All selected candidates will be posted at the RBI’s Central Office in Mumbai.

How to apply

Candidates must send a scanned copy of the prescribed application form along with the required documents to yphrmdco@rbi.org.in before the deadline.The application should include:

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Academic certificates and qualification documents
  • Statement of interest
  • Sample of academic or policy writing
  • Recommendation or reference letter from a professional referee

Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate applications for each position.

Selection process

The selection process includes the following stages:

  • Preliminary screening and shortlisting
  • Document verification
  • Personal interview

Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters through email.Applicants are advised to check the eligibility conditions carefully before applying. RBI has also said that incomplete applications or applications received after July 6, 2026, will not be accepted. Therefore, eligible candidates should complete the application process before the deadline to avoid missing this opportunity.
