UPSC recruitment 2026: Registration window closes tomorrow for Group A, B posts; check details

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will close the online application window for its Group A and Group B recruitment 2026 tomorrow, July 31, 2026, at 6 pm. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can submit their applications through the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal before the deadline. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill several Group A and Group B posts in different departments of the Central government. Since the application window will close tomorrow, candidates are advised to complete the registration process as early as possible to avoid last-minute technical issues.

UPSC recruitment 2026: Vacancies

The recruitment drive includes vacancies for the following posts:

  • Assistant Soil Chemist
  • Prosecutor
  • Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor in various specialities, including:
    • Clinical Hematology
    • Endocrinology
    • Neonatology
    • Nuclear Medicine
    • Pulmonary Medicine
    • Paediatric Cardiology
    • Surgical Gastroenterology
  • Deputy Assistant Director (Entomology)
  • Entomologist
  • Junior Scientific Officer (Toxicology)
  • Other notified posts

The Commission has said that the eligibility criteria, educational qualifications, age limit, work experience and reservation rules are different for each post. Candidates should carefully read the detailed notification before submitting their applications.

How to apply for UPSC recruitment 2026

Candidates can follow these steps to apply:

  1. Visit the UPSC Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.
  2. Click on the relevant recruitment advertisement.
  3. Complete the registration process.
  4. Fill in the online application form with the required details.
  5. Upload the necessary documents.
  6. Pay the application fee, if applicable.
  7. Submit the application and download the confirmation page for future reference.

The Commission has also provided email support for issues related to online applications, fee payment and document uploads.
