India vs Zimbabwe Live Score, 3rd T20I: Shreyas Iyer’s India eye clean sweep; Prabhsimran Singh set for debut?

India vs Zimbabwe Live Score, 3rd T20I: India have already wrapped up the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, but the final encounter in Harare still carries significance as Shreyas Iyer’s side chases a 3-0 clean sweep and looks to test the depth of its squad.

The series has marked a much-needed revival for India following successive T20I series defeats against Ireland and England. Consecutive victories over Zimbabwe have eased the pressure on new captain Iyer, who confirmed after the second match that changes are likely because of Prince Yadav’s hamstring injury. The fast bowler impressed with two wickets before leaving the field injured, making Ashok Sharma the frontrunner to replace him. India could also hand an international debut to explosive wicketkeeper-batter Prabhsimran Singh, while all-rounder Suryansh Shedge remains in line for his first T20I appearance.

India’s batting unit has produced several positives throughout the series. Ishan Kishan has returned to form with attacking knocks, Tilak Varma has anchored the middle order with consistency and youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has continued his fearless approach at the top. Abhishek Sharma has contributed with the ball despite a lean run with the bat, claiming 3-17 in the second T20I.

Speaking after India’s series-clinching victory, vice-captain Tilak Varma admitted the triumph was a relief after the disappointments of the previous two series. He credited Ishan’s aggressive innings for setting the tone, highlighted the importance of Iyer’s quick contribution and revealed his determination to develop into a reliable all-rounder by regularly contributing two or three overs.

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will hope to finish the series on a positive note after struggling to match India’s intensity. Brian Bennett has shown glimpses of his potential, but the hosts have failed to build substantial partnerships with bat or ball.

With the series decided, Sunday’s contest offers India an ideal opportunity to experiment while maintaining the winning momentum ahead of a packed international calendar.
