ICAR Counselling 2026: The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is expected to release the Round 1 Seat Allotment Result for UG Counselling 2026 shortly today, July 31, 2026. Candidates who participated in the counselling process will be able to check their provisional allotment status and download the allotment letter through the official ICAR counselling portal after the link is activated.The Round 1 allotment result will provide details of the university and undergraduate programme allotted to candidates based on their ICAR CUET-UG scores, choices filled during counselling and availability of seats. Candidates receiving seats will have to complete document verification and other admission-related formalities within the given timeline.ICAR Round 1 allotment schedule and important datesThe counselling authority has released a strict timeline for candidates after the allotment result. Steps to check ICAR UG Counselling allotment result

Once the link becomes active, candidates can check their allotment status by following these steps:Step 1: Visit the official ICAR Counselling portal.Step 2: Click on the candidate login link.Step 3: Enter the application number and password or security pin.Step 4: Open the applicant dashboard.Step 5: Check the Round 1 allotment status.Step 6: Download the provisional allotment letter for further admission process.Direct link to visit the official ICAR Counselling 2026 websiteCandidates should keep their login credentials and scanned copies of academic and category-related documents ready before the allotment link becomes active.Freeze and upgrade options after allotmentAfter the Round 1 allotment result is released, candidates will have to select their preferred option. Candidates satisfied with the allotted university and course can choose the freeze option to confirm their admission.Those who wish to seek a higher preference in subsequent rounds can select the upgrade option after depositing the seat acceptance fee. The upgrade facility will be available only during Rounds 1, 2 and 3. No upgradation will be allowed in Round 4 and the Mop-Up or final round.ICAR UG Counselling 2026 detailsICAR UG Counselling 2026 is being conducted for admission to agriculture and allied science programmes across 74 participating universities. The participating institutions include 63 State Agricultural Universities, four ICAR Deemed Universities, three Central Agricultural Universities and four Central Universities with agriculture faculties.The counselling process covers 13 undergraduate programmes, including B.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agricultural Engineering and Dairy Technology. Candidates were required to pay a non-refundable counselling registration fee of Rs 500, while candidates allotted seats must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs 10,000.The counselling process will include five rounds, consisting of four regular allotment rounds and one Mop-Up or final round.Reservation and seat allocation processUnder the ICAR quota system, 20% of undergraduate seats in State Agricultural Universities and 100% of seats in Central Agricultural Universities and ICAR Deemed Universities are filled through the centralised counselling process.The reservation policy follows Government of India guidelines, including 27% reservation for OBC-NCL candidates, 15% for Scheduled Caste candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe candidates, 10% for Economically Weaker Section candidates and 5% horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.ICAR allotment is limited to the university level, while the allocation of specific constituent college campuses is handled by the respective university.
