The Telegraph report states that Fleming outperformed other contenders, including former England batter Jonathan Trott and current England men’s performance director Richard Dawson, to secure the role. If appointed, Fleming will replace fellow New Zealander Brendon McCullum, who recently stepped down as England’s Test head coach following a disappointing run of results in the longest format.Despite leaving the Test role, McCullum will remain in charge of England’s white-ball teams, setting up a unique coaching partnership.
