Salman Khan’s latest film Sikandar saw a significant drop in its box office earnings, with a 50% decrease in domestic collections on its fourth day. The film had performed strongly during its first three days but is now showing signs of slowing down. Released during Eid, the movie’s initial success was followed by a drop in momentum.
Sikandar performed well internationally, becoming the highest-earning Bollywood film on its opening day in overseas markets, earning about $2.25 million globally. Despite mixed reviews and an online leak, the film remained strong on its second day, with trade analyst Sumit Kadel noting it stayed above ₹20 crore in earnings.
The filmmakers shared on Instagram that Sikandar had grossed ₹141.15 crore worldwide during its first three days. Sacnilk, however, reported a slightly lower figure of ₹123.75 crore, with ₹88.75 crore from India and ₹35 crore from international markets.
On Day 4, the film earned ₹9.75 crore net in India, bringing its domestic total to ₹84.25 crore. It opened with ₹26 crore on March 30 and earned ₹29 crore the following day. Despite facing competition from films like L2 Empuraan and the online leak, Sikandar is still expected to reach the ₹100 crore milestone by April 4 or 5, though it hasn’t met the huge expectations set before its release.
