JoSAA 2026 Round 4 seat allotment to be released today; online reporting window opens immediately afterwards

JoSAA 2026 Round 4 seat allotment: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is scheduled to release the Round 4 seat allotment result for JoSAA Counselling 2026 today, July 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM IST. Candidates participating in the centralised admission process for IITs and other participating institutes will be able to check their provisional allotment status through the official JoSAA portal.Along with the allotment result, candidates can also access the Round 4 opening and closing cutoff ranks. Under the revised five-round counselling schedule introduced this year, Round 4 is the final opportunity for candidates to use the Float or Slide options before the concluding round of seat allocation.How to check the Round 4 allotmentOnce the result link is activated, candidates can visit the official JoSAA portal and click on the “View Round 4 Seat Allocation Result” link available on the homepage.Candidates will need to log in using their JEE Main 2026 Application Number and password. After signing in, they can view their allotment status and download the provisional seat allotment letter for future admission formalities.Direct link to visit the official webpageDirect link to visit the official websiteReporting schedule after allotmentCandidates allotted seats must complete online reporting, including document upload, fee payment and response to any queries, between July 10 and July 13, 2026. The deadline for payment of the seat acceptance fee is July 13, 2026, by 5:00 PM.The seat withdrawal and exit window will remain open from July 11 to July 14, 2026. Candidates allotted seats in IITs who wish to withdraw must complete the process by July 14, 2026, before 5:00 PM.Available reporting optionsAfter viewing the allotment result, candidates must select one of the available admission options. The Freeze option allows candidates to accept the allotted seat without participating in any further rounds.The Float option enables candidates to retain the allotted seat while remaining eligible for a higher-preference programme in any participating institute. The Slide option allows candidates to seek admission to a higher-preference programme within the same allotted institute.Candidates receiving a seat for the first time during Round 4 must upload the required documents, including Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and category certificates, wherever applicable, and complete the seat acceptance fee payment.Final counselling roundThe fifth and final round of JoSAA Counselling 2026 is scheduled for July 16, 2026. The concluding round will complete the admission process for IITs and other participating institutions under the JoSAA counselling system.
