FMGE June 2026: DMSF Philippines records nearly 75% pass rate, three graduates rank among top 10 AIR holders
Three DMSF Philippines graduates secure top FMGE ranks as institute reports nearly six times higher pass rate than national average

Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF), Philippines, has reported notable results in the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2026, with three of its graduates securing positions among the Top 10 All India Rank (AIR) holders.According to data shared by the institution, Dr. Antonysamy secured AIR 4 with 232 marks out of 300, followed by Dr. Kavipriya at AIR 6 with 228 marks and Dr. Anuj Singh at AIR 9 with 224 marks. The FMGE, conducted on June 28, 2026, is a mandatory screening examination for Indian citizens who complete their medical education abroad and seek registration to practise medicine in India. The examination recorded a national pass percentage of 12.38%, reflecting the competitive nature of the test.DMSF reports higher pass percentage among first-time candidatesDMSF stated that more than 900 first-time graduates from the institution appeared for FMGE June 2026, of whom over 675 candidates qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of nearly 75%.The institution attributed the results to academic preparation, clinical training and examination-oriented support provided to students. However, performance in FMGE can vary across batches and depends on multiple factors, including individual preparation and examination strategy.FMGE remains a key challenge for foreign medical graduatesThe results come amid continued interest among Indian students pursuing medical education overseas. Countries such as the Philippines, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and others have traditionally attracted Indian medical aspirants due to factors including admission opportunities, English-medium programmes and international exposure. However, graduates returning to India must meet the requirements prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and clear the FMGE before obtaining registration to practise.Regulatory requirements for Indian students studying abroadThe Embassy of India in Manila, citing communication from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), has highlighted that Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes offered by CHED-recognised institutions align with key requirements under the NMC’s Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL) Regulations, subject to applicable conditions. The advisory mentioned requirements such as a 54-month medical curriculum, prescribed subjects, English as the medium of instruction and a 12-month internship at the same institution or an affiliated hospital.Students planning to pursue medical education abroad are advised to independently verify whether their chosen institution and programme meet the latest NMC requirements.Top rankers highlight preparation and consistencyDr. Antonysamy, who secured AIR 4, said that consistent preparation, academic guidance and clinical training played an important role in his FMGE journey.Dr. Kavipriya, who secured AIR 6, highlighted the importance of discipline and regular preparation while appearing for the examination.Kadwin Pillai, Managing Director, Transworld Educare, said the results reflected the efforts of students, faculty members and academic support systems at DMSF. He added that the institution would continue supporting students preparing for future attempts.
