Delhi EWS admission 2026 second round result released; selected candidates to complete document verification process

Delhi EWS admission 2026: The Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) has conducted the Delhi EWS/DG Admission 2026 Second Round Computerised Lottery Draw today, July 10, 2026. The draw was held at 11:00 AM at the DoE Conference Hall, Old Secretariat, for admission to entry-level classes under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Disadvantaged Group (DG) categories.Following the completion of the lottery process, the department is preparing to publish the formal merit list online. Selected candidates will be able to check their allotted schools through the official admission portals and receive further instructions for the next stage of admission.How to check the allotment resultParents and guardians can access the second round allotment details through the Delhi DoE Admissions website and the EduDel portal. The department will upload the downloadable merit list PDF containing details of selected candidates.The DoE will also send SMS alerts to registered mobile numbers of shortlisted candidates. The message will include details of the allotted school and instructions regarding further admission formalities.The Delhi EWS/DG admission lottery result document for 2025-26 includes around 5,000 selected candidates and has been prepared as a 123-page PDF list.Steps to find names in the merit listParents can search for their child’s name in the PDF using the search function. Windows users can press “Ctrl+F”, while Mac users can use “Cmd+F” to locate details quickly.Using the registration number while searching is recommended to ensure accurate identification of the candidate. The allotment list contains details required for candidates to proceed with the admission process.Documents required for verificationCandidates selected through the second round lottery will have to prepare documents for physical verification at the designated centres.Parents should keep family income certificates, residence proof and category certificates ready for submission. The allotment letter or SMS notification will provide details about the assigned school and verification process.Process for remaining vacant seatsCandidates who do not find their names in the second round list may get an opportunity in a further lottery process, depending on the availability of vacant seats.The DoE may conduct a third computerised lottery draw for remaining seats using existing registrations, without requiring fresh applications from candidates. Further updates regarding vacant seats and admission procedures will be available through the Delhi Directorate of Education portal.
