Vice President Radhakrishnan’s Visit Tomorrow.MP Kesineni Sivanath Inspects Arrangements at Punnami Ghat.

Ahead of Vice President Radhakrishnan’s visit to Vijayawada on the 24th of this month to participate in the Vijayawada Utsav, MP Kesineni Sivanath personally inspected the arrangements at the main venue, Punnami Ghat, on Tuesday.

On this occasion, MP Sivanath conducted a review meeting with officials from the police, revenue, tourism, and municipal departments and issued several instructions. He suggested creating dedicated routes to ensure that guests and devotees can reach the ghat without any inconvenience. He directed the allocation of separate parking zones for VVIPs, VIPs, and the general public. He also emphasized the need for clear signage to avoid any disruptions in movement. Stressing the importance of security during the Vice President’s visit, he instructed that no lapses should be allowed. MP Sivanath spoke specifically with ACP Durgarao, CI Umamaheswararao, and SI Prakash, ordering the implementation of foolproof security measures.

He also directed the concerned departments to ensure proper facilities for guests and devotees, including drinking water, toilets, and medical services, so that no inconvenience is caused.

Later, MP Sivanath said: “The Vijayawada Utsav is not just a city festival; it reflects the prestige of the capital Amaravati. With the Vice President’s visit, this festival will gain national-level recognition. That is why all departments must work in coordination to ensure its grand success.”

Swachhandhra Corporation Chairman Kommareddy Pattabhi, former MLC Budda Venkanna, TDP state official spokesperson Nagul Meera, and leaders of the alliance participated in the program.
