UGC NET June 2026 answer key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the provisional answer key for the UGC NET June 2026 examination. Although the computer-based test concluded on July 5, the agency has not announced an official release date. Candidates are, however, expecting the answer key to be published shortly on the official UGC NET portal.Once released, candidates will be able to access the provisional answer key, response sheet and question paper using their login credentials. The answer key will help candidates estimate their scores before the declaration of the final result and provide an opportunity to raise objections against any discrepancies.Where and how to download the answer keyThe provisional answer key will be available on the official UGC NET website and the National Testing Agency portal. Candidates need to log in using their application number, date of birth or password, and the security pin.After signing in, candidates should click on the answer key or response sheet link to access the provisional answer key, recorded responses and question paper. The documents can be downloaded in PDF format for score calculation.Challenge process and objection feeCandidates who identify discrepancies in the provisional answer key can submit objections through the online challenge facility. NTA charges a non-refundable processing fee of ?200 for each question challenged.The objection window is expected to remain open for two to three days after the provisional answer key is released. Subject experts will review all valid challenges before publishing the final answer key, which will be used to prepare the UGC NET June 2026 results.Expected upcoming scheduleBased on previous examination cycles, the provisional answer key is expected by July 30, 2026. The answer key challenge window is likely to follow immediately for two to three days. The final answer key and UGC NET June 2026 results are expected during the first week of August, although NTA has not officially confirmed the timeline.UGC NET June 2026 at a glanceThe examination covers 87 subjects through 150 multiple-choice questions carrying two marks each, with no negative marking. UGC NET is conducted to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship. Around seven to ten lakh candidates typically appear across the June and December cycles, while approximately 9,000 to 11,000 candidates qualify annually for the Junior Research Fellowship.
