Regular plus two results: Pass percentage stood at 77.97%
The supplementary examination follows the declaration of the Kerala DHSE Plus Two Annual examination 2026 results, which were announced in May after the board examinations held between March 6 and March 28.This year, the state recorded an overall pass percentage of 77.97%, with 2,90,398 of the 3,72,423 students who appeared qualifying for higher education.Girls once again outperformed boys by a wide margin. While 86.69% of female candidates cleared the examination, the pass percentage among boys stood at 68.41%.
Vocational Higher Secondary stream
Alongside the general stream examinations, the state also conducted examinations for the Higher Secondary Vocational stream. A total of 26,829 first-year students and 26,826 second-year regular students had registered.The examinations were conducted across 389 centres, while answer scripts were evaluated at eight valuation camps with nearly 3,700 teachers assigned to examination duties. Valuation for the vocational stream began on April 6, 2026.
A look at previous years
Kerala’s consistent performance in the higher secondary examination has remained steady during the last three years.The overall pass percentage for the year 2025 was 77.81%. The Science category performed the best with 83.25%, while the Commerce and Humanities streams scored 74.21% and 69.16%, respectively.In 2024, there were 3,74,755 students who had applied for the examination, of which 2,94,888 cleared it. Hence, the overall pass percentage became 78.69%. Even though it was a reduction from 82.95% of the previous year, Kerala continues to perform well among other school education boards of the country.Now, the announcement of the SAY results will play a crucial role in shaping the future of candidates aspiring for undergraduate studies in the ongoing admission process.
