DSSSB opens fresh applications for 606 ASO vacancies under special 2009 recruitment process

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has opened a fresh application window for candidates who had applied under Post Code 90/09 in 2009 for the DASS Grade II recruitment. The move follows the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order dated February 27, 2026, allowing eligible candidates another opportunity to participate in the ongoing recruitment process for 606 Grade II (GNCTDSS) or Assistant Section Officer (ASO) vacancies under Post Code 804/26.According to the public notice issued on July 8, 2026, eligible candidates can submit fresh applications from July 17, 2026, to August 17, 2026. Applications must be submitted through the special link available on the DSSSB online portal.Fresh application mandatory for eligible 2009 candidatesThe recruitment opportunity is limited to candidates who had originally applied under Post Code 90/09 in 2009. DSSSB has clarified that eligible applicants must submit a fresh application to be considered for the current recruitment process.The online application window opened at 12 noon on July 17, 2026, and will close at 5:00 PM on August 17, 2026. Candidates who do not apply within the prescribed period will not receive another opportunity to participate in the recruitment process.Recruitment details and eligibilityThe recruitment drive is being conducted for 606 vacancies of Grade II (GNCTDSS) or Assistant Section Officer. The examination schedule will be announced separately.Candidates must upload proof of their 2009 application while submitting the online form. Accepted documents include a copy of the original application form, the original acknowledgement postcard, Tier I admit card or Tier II admit card issued for Post Code 90/09.DSSSB has also stated that eligibility will cease if a candidate attains the age of 60 years, the prescribed age of superannuation in government service, before appointment.No application fee for candidatesThe board has not prescribed any application fee for eligible candidates applying under this special recruitment process.Applicants who are not already registered on the Online Application Registration System (OARS) must complete registration before accessing the special application link for Post Code 804/26. Candidates are required to fill in the application form, upload the prescribed proof document, verify all information and submit the form before the closing date.Offline application facility availableDSSSB has also provided an offline application option for candidates who are unable to complete the online process.Such applicants can submit the prescribed Annexure-I application form along with the required supporting documents at the DSSSB Helpdesk during working hours between July 17, 2026, and August 17, 2026. The provisional offline application format has been included in the official notification.Candidates are advised to retain a copy of the submitted application and confirmation page for future reference. The recruitment is being conducted in accordance with the directions issued by the Hon’ble Supreme Court and the schedule notified by DSSSB.
