The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the admit card for the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research–University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR UGC NET) June 2026 examination. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now download their hall tickets from the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in, using their application number and password.The Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2026 examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode on July 17 and July 18, 2026.

Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2026 exam schedule

The examination will be held as per the following schedule:

Exam Date Subject Timing
July 17, 2026 Life Sciences 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
July 17, 2026 Mathematical Sciences 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
July 17, 2026 Physical Sciences 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm
July 18, 2026 Chemical Sciences 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
July 18, 2026 Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences 9:00 am to 12:00 noon

The examination is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes in Indian universities and colleges.

How to download the Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2026 admit card

Candidates can follow these steps to download their admit card:

  • Visit the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on the Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card link.
  • Enter your application number and password.
  • Submit the details.
  • Download the admit card and take a printout for future use.

Important instructions for candidates

Candidates should keep the following points in mind:

  • The admit card has been issued provisionally, subject to fulfilment of the eligibility conditions.
  • No admit card will be sent by post.
  • Do not make any changes or damage the admit card.
  • Issuance of the admit card does not automatically confirm eligibility. The documents and eligibility will be verified during the admission process.
  • Candidates should keep a copy of the admit card safely for future reference.
