NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has congratulated its student, Ravneet Singh, for being declared the “Top Performer – State/UT” for Uttarakhand in the TERI GO4Youth Online Olympiad 2026. The recognition was announced following his performance in the national-level environmental awareness initiative.Representing IIT Roorkee, Ravneet Singh secured a perfect score of 50 out of 50 in the Olympiad. The institute shared the achievement through its official social media channels, highlighting his performance in the competition focused on sustainability and environmental awareness.National initiative on sustainabilityThe TERI GO4Youth Online Olympiad 2026 is organised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and the University Grants Commission (UGC).The initiative aims to encourage awareness and understanding of environmental conservation, sustainability and climate-related issues among students across the country. Participants are assessed on topics related to environmental science, sustainable development and ecological responsibility.Perfect score earns state recognitionRavneet Singh’s score of 50/50 placed him among the highest-performing participants in the Olympiad and earned him the distinction of being the top performer from Uttarakhand.IIT Roorkee acknowledged the achievement and stated that the recognition reflects excellence in environmental awareness and sustainability.
