Rajasthan University opens PG admissions 2026 today, registrations begin for 28 postgraduate programmes: Check steps to apply here
Rajasthan University has opened registrations for postgraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session, with applications being accepted from July 13 to August 3. The admission process includes an entrance test and covers 28 PG subjects in the first phase. Eligible candidates, including those in the final semester of their undergraduate course, can submit applications online through the university’s admission portal.

The University of Rajasthan (RU), Jaipur, has opened the online application window for PG admissions for the 2026-27 academic session from July 13. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online until August 3 through the university’s admission portal.The admission process will be conducted online, while selection will be based on an entrance examination to be organised by the university.The university has activated the registration process for candidates seeking admission to postgraduate programmes. Applicants must complete the online application form through the official admission portal and carefully fill in all required details before the deadline.This year, the university has opened admissions for 28 postgraduate subjects in the first phase. Students are allowed to apply for up to three subjects, depending on their eligibility and academic interests.

Final-year undergraduate students can also apply

Rajasthan University has allowed final-semester undergraduate students to participate in the admission process. This means students awaiting their final UG results will also be eligible to submit applications, provided they fulfil the university’s admission requirements.However, candidates are advised to verify the eligibility conditions for their preferred programme before completing the registration process.

Admission through entrance examination

Unlike merit-based admissions, Rajasthan University will admit students to its postgraduate courses through an entrance test. The examination will determine admissions across the notified PG programmes.Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical issues.
