AIAPGET 2026 registration begins

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the online registration process for the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026. Eligible candidates can now submit their application forms through the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/aiapget, till July 30, 2026, 11:50 pm.AIAPGET is conducted by the NTA on behalf of the Ministry of AYUSH, the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH). The entrance examination is held for admission to postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (DM) programmes in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy under the All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota.According to the official schedule, candidates can pay the application fee online till 11:59 pm on July 30, 2026. The application correction window will remain open from August 1 to August 2, 2026.The AIAPGET 2026 examination will be held on August 22, 2026 (Saturday) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. The test will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying a total of 480 marks, with a duration of 120 minutes. The examination will be conducted in around 122 cities across the country.The question paper will be available in different languages depending on the course. Ayurveda will be offered in Hindi and English, Homoeopathy in English only, Siddha in Tamil and English, and Unani in Urdu and English.The NTA has introduced several measures to strengthen the examination process. Candidates are encouraged to complete Aadhaar-based authentication while filling out the application form. They will also have to upload a live photograph during registration in addition to a passport-size photograph. Candidates applying under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category using a Unique Disability ID (UDID) should upload the required details during the application process.The agency has advised candidates to submit only one application form, as multiple applications will lead to rejection. Applicants should also ensure that the uploaded photograph, live photograph and signature meet the prescribed specifications. They are advised to keep their registered email ID and mobile number active throughout the admission process and complete the application well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.The advance city intimation slip and admit card release dates will be announced later on the official website.
