Both countries also agreed to encourage greater collaboration among young innovators, entrepreneurs and technology professionals.The agreements indicate that the partnership is increasingly focusing on sectors expected to shape future economic growth.

The discussions also produced fresh commitments in the space sector. India and Indonesia agreed to work together through joint research, technology sharing and capacity-building initiatives. The Indonesia campus follows the overseas expansion of IIM Ahmedabad, which became the first Indian Institute of Management to establish a full-fledged international campus.Its Dubai campus, inaugurated in September last year, currently offers a one-year full-time MBA programme for experienced professionals. The project was widely seen as the beginning of India’s push to take its premier management institutions beyond the country’s borders.The proposed IIM Bangalore campus suggests that overseas campuses are becoming an important part of India’s higher education strategy.
