Delhi University has released the tentative schedule and venues for the Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) quota trials for undergraduate admissions, with physical assessments set to begin from July 16. The announcement comes as the university continues the undergraduate admission process through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).Candidates seeking admission under the ECA quota have been advised to regularly check the university website for updates, as no separate email or SMS notifications will be sent regarding their trial schedule.
Individual trial slots to be released after application correction window
The university said that category-wise trial dates and venues have already been announced, while the detailed schedule showing the exact date and time allotted to each candidate will be published after the application correction window closes.Students have been instructed to download and verify their trial schedule from the official DU website once it is released. The university clarified that it will not send individual communication to candidates regarding their allotted slots.
Outstation candidates advised to plan travel in advance
Delhi University has issued a special advisory for candidates travelling from outside the national capital. Instead of waiting for individual trial schedules, such students have been asked to book their travel tickets for any date falling within the notified trial period of their respective ECA category.The university has also recommended that candidates arrange accommodation close to the designated trial venue. Those whose allotted trial date clashes with a confirmed travel itinerary may request a change by writing to the university. Such requests will be considered, depending on availability within the notified trial period.
Category-wise trial schedule and venues
The physical trials for several ECA categories will begin on different dates across designated colleges.
- July 16: Dance, Debate, Vocal Music and Theatre
- July 17: Yoga
- July 20: Quiz and Fine Arts
- July 21: Creative Writing, Instrumental Music, Digital Media and Divinity
The university has assigned separate nodal colleges for each category. Dance trials will be conducted at Bharati College, while debate candidates will appear at Ramjas College. Theatre trials will take place at Miranda House, and vocal music assessments will be held at Mata Sundri College for Women.Instrumental music candidates will report to Sri Aurobindo College (Day), creative writing trials will be conducted at Hansraj College, digital media trials at Maharaja Agrasen College, fine arts at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, divinity at Rajdhani College, quiz at Zakir Hussain Delhi College (Evening), and yoga at PGDAV (Evening) College.Most trials are expected to continue for about a week, excluding Sundays, while yoga trials will be completed over two days.
No physical trials for NCC and NSS applicants
The university has clarified that candidates applying under the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) categories will not be required to appear for physical trials.Instead, their evaluation will be carried out through the prescribed admission process.
ECA marks and grievance window
According to the university, marks secured by candidates in the ECA evaluation process are expected to be uploaded on the admission portal around July 25 or July 26.After the marks are published, candidates will be given a grievance window of two to three days to raise any concerns related to the evaluation.
Academic session to begin on July 28
