CISCE begins ICSE, ISC 2027 and 2028 registration: Check deadlines, late fee, and other details
CISCE has started the registration process for the ICSE and ISC 2027 and 2028 examinations. Schools must confirm candidate entries for the 2027 exams and register students for the 2028 exams through the CAREERS Portal.

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has opened the registration process for the ICSE and ISC examinations scheduled for 2027 and 2028. Schools across India are now required to complete two separate tasks: confirm the details of students appearing for the 2027 examinations and register eligible students for the 2028 examinations. The entire process will be conducted through the CISCE Careers Portal. Schools have been advised to complete the formalities within the prescribed timelines to ensure that candidates do not face problems at a later stage.

ICSE, ISC 2027: Entry confirmation dates

For candidates appearing in the ICSE and ISC 2027 examinations, schools can confirm their entries from August 5 to September 15, 2026, without paying any additional fee.A second confirmation window will be available from September 16 to September 30, 2026. However, schools submitting entries during this period will have to pay the applicable late fee for each candidate. The entry confirmation process is important because it allows schools to verify whether the details submitted for their candidates are correct before the board examination cycle moves ahead.

Schools must verify candidate details carefully

CISCE has also provided a mechanism for schools to request minor corrections in candidate information. Such requests can be submitted through the CAREERS Portal along with the supporting documents required for verification.School heads, teachers and examination in-charges should check every candidate’s details carefully before submitting the final entries. Errors in names, subjects or other candidate information can create complications during the examination and result stages. Schools should therefore avoid waiting until the last date to complete the process.

ICSE 2028 registration: Check deadline

For students who will appear for the ICSE 2028 examination, the registration window will remain open from August 5 to October 31, 2026, without a late fee.Schools that fail to complete registration within this period will get another opportunity from November 1 to November 15, 2026. However, registrations made during the extended window will attract the prescribed late fee.The responsibility for completing the registration correctly rests with the respective schools. Students and parents should therefore remain in contact with their schools regarding the submission of details and fees.

ISC 2028 registration window

For ISC 2028, schools can register candidates from August 5 to November 15, 2026. According to the schedule provided by CISCE, the registration period for ISC 2028 will not have a separate late-registration window. Schools should therefore ensure that registrations are completed within the prescribed period. The council has asked schools to follow the official instructions regarding registration, documents and fee submission while completing the process through the CAREERS Portal.

ICSE and ISC 2028 registration schedule

Candidates can check the registration schedule for the ICSE and ISC registration:

Examination Registration window Late registration
ICSE 2028 August 5 to October 31, 2026 November 1 to November 15, 2026, with late fee
ISC 2028 August 5 to November 15, 2026 No separate late window

What schools need to do

Schools will have to complete the relevant process through the CISCE CAREERS Portal depending on the examination year. For the 2027 examinations, schools need to confirm the entries of candidates already registered for ICSE and ISC. For the 2028 examinations, schools need to register the new batch of candidates within the applicable deadlines. Before final submission, schools should check candidate particulars, subject selections and other required information. Any correction request should be accompanied by the necessary supporting documents.
