Bihar STET 2026 application process to start on August 17; check exam pattern and qualifying marks
Bihar STET 2026 registration to begin on August 17

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that it will conduct the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026. The decision has been taken following instructions from the Education Department, Bihar.The online application process for Bihar STET 2026 will begin on August 17, 2026. The exam is conducted for candidates seeking eligibility to teach secondary classes (Classes 9 to 10) and higher secondary classes (Classes 11 to 12).The STET exam will have two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. It will be conducted as a computer-based test with multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

Bihar STET 2026: How to apply

Once the registration window opens, candidates can follow these steps to fill out the application form:

  • Visit the official BSEB website, bsebstet.org.
  • Click on the registration option for new candidates.
  • Enter the required details and submit them.
  • The registration number or user ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address.
  • Log in using the generated credentials and pay the application fee.
  • Fill out the application form with the required details.
  • Upload the necessary documents and submit the form.
  • Download the confirmation page and keep a copy for future reference.

Bihar STET 2026: Qualifying percentage

The qualifying percentage for Bihar STET 2026 varies according to the candidate’s category.

Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) 40%

Bihar STET 2026: Exam pattern

The STET exam will have two sections. These will cover the specified subject matter, teaching arts and other competencies.The exam will carry a total of 150 marks. Of these, 100 marks will be for the specified subject matter, while 50 marks will cover teaching arts and other competencies.Each question will carry one mark. There will be no negative marking in the exam.Candidates should check the official BSEB website for further updates regarding the application process and examination.
