ITAT recruitment 2026: Application deadline today for 42 Private Secretary posts

ITAT recruitment 2026: The Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) is closing the online application window today, August 16, 2026, for recruitment to 42 posts of Senior Private Secretary and Private Secretary. The recruitment is being conducted under the Ministry of Law and Justice through Advertisement No. F.301-Ad(ATD)/DR/2026-27.According to the official ITAT recruitment portal, online applications opened on July 18, 2026, at 12 midnight and will close today at 11:59 PM. The examination and subsequent selection stages will be notified separately.Eligibility criteria for ITAT postsCandidates applying for either post must hold a degree from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. The prescribed skill requirement includes English shorthand at 120 words per minute and English typing at 45 words per minute, along with working knowledge of computers.The maximum age limit is 35 years, subject to applicable age relaxations under government rules.Written examination and skill testThe selection process includes a written examination, skill test and personal interview, followed by the applicable document verification and other prescribed formalities.The written examination comprises General English and General Knowledge and Reasoning papers, carrying 100 marks each. Candidates appearing for the skill test are assessed on English shorthand at 120 words per minute and English typing at 45 words per minute.The personal interview carries 75 marks.Application deadline and official portalThe official ITAT recruitment portal confirms that applications can be submitted only until 11:59 PM today, August 16, 2026. Candidates should complete the registration process, upload the required documents and submit the application before the deadline.ITAT has advised applicants to keep the required documents ready before attempting registration. The recruitment portal also provides separate options for registration and login for candidates who have already created an account.
