NEET SS counselling 2025: Round 2 seat allotment result out at mcc.nic.in; reporting begins tomorrow

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Specialty (NEET SS) counselling 2025 Round 2 provisional seat allotment result today, August 13.Candidates who took part in the counselling can download the provisional allotment result in PDF format from the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in/super-speciality-counselling/.Candidates who find any discrepancy in the Round 2 allotment result can report it to MCC by 5 pm today. As per the counselling schedule, college reporting will begin on August 14 and continue till August 20, 2025.Candidates should approach the allotted college only after the final result is announced and the allotment letter is available on the MCC website.

NEET SS 2025 counselling Round 2: What candidates need to do

Candidates who have been allotted a seat must download their allotment letter and report to the designated institute within the given reporting period.Candidates should also complete the admission process as instructed by the allotted college. Those who join a seat may be eligible to participate in later rounds of NEET SS counselling for seat upgradation or choose to retain their allotted seat, as per the applicable counselling rules.

Why was NEET SS counselling 2025 delayed?

The NEET SS counselling process was delayed due to a legal dispute and a review petition related to 151 vacant super-specialty seats in Tamil Nadu. MCC had paused the choice filling and locking process until further notice. The delay led several groups of doctors and students to ask MCC to provide a clear timeline for the counselling process.Following a Supreme Court order, MCC later added 153 vacant in-service seats from Tamil Nadu to the Round 2 seat matrix.A total of 2,423 Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) super-specialty seats were offered for admission in NEET SS Round 2.Candidates are advised to check the official MCC website for the final allotment result, allotment letter and further counselling updates.
