Punjab National Bank (PNB) is accepting online applications for the recruitment of 545 Local Bank Officer (LBO) posts under Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can submit their applications through the official PNB website, pnb.bank.in.The registration process started on July 20, 2026, and will close on August 9, 2026. Candidates who are yet to apply should complete the process before the deadline.The selected candidates will be posted in the state for which they have applied. The pay scale for the LBO post ranges from Rs 48,480 to Rs 85,920.

PNB LBO recruitment 2026: Eligibility and age limit

Candidates must have a graduation degree from a recognised university or institution. They must also have at least one year of banking experience and should be proficient in the local language of the state for which they are applying.Applicants must be between 20 and 30 years of age as on July 1, 2026.Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India rules. Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will get five years of relaxation, while Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates under the Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) category will get three years.Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be eligible for 10 years of relaxation. Ex-servicemen and persons affected by the 1984 riots will get five years of relaxation.

PNB LBO recruitment 2026: Vacancy overview

The 545 vacancies have been announced across several states and Union Territories, including:Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura.Candidates will be appointed only in the state for which they have applied.

PNB LBO recruitment 2026: Selection process

The selection process will include:

  • Online written examination
  • Document screening
  • Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
  • Personal interview
  • Final merit list
  • Document verification

The online examination will have 150 questions carrying 150 marks. Candidates will get 180 minutes to complete the paper.The exam will cover Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General, Economy and Banking Awareness.There will also be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
