CWG 2026: Complete schedule, timings and medal events as India eye medals on 30th July, Thursday

India’s campaign at the Commonwealth Games 2026 enters another exciting day on Thursday, July 30, with Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra finally set to make his much-awaited appearance in the men’s javelin throw. After an impressive medal haul over the opening week, India will once again have multiple opportunities to add to its tally, with medal events lined up in athletics and weightlifting.Apart from Neeraj’s return, all eyes will also be on Tejaswin Shankar, who begins his gruelling decathlon campaign, while Indian weightlifters Martina Devi Maibam and Lovepreet Singh will compete for podium finishes.

Neeraj Chopra headlines India’s day

The biggest attraction of the day will undoubtedly be Neeraj Chopra, who begins his campaign in the men’s javelin throw qualification alongside fellow Indians Rohit Yadav and Yash Vir Singh. Fans will be eager to see the reigning Olympic champion start his quest for another major international medal.

Multiple medal events await India

Weightlifters Martina Devi Maibam (Women’s 86+kg) and Lovepreet Singh (Men’s 110+kg) will feature in their respective finals, while athletics will offer medal opportunities in the men’s shot put, women’s discus throw, and women’s 5000m.Meanwhile, Tejaswin Shankar will be in action across five decathlon events throughout the day.
